The Edge & The Climb

Class Schedule:  1:30-4:30pm on Saturdays and 1:00-2:30pm OR 2:30-3:30pm Sundays

With comprehensive training for high school and advanced middle school musical theatre performers, this package of classes provides students with advanced acting and audition training, vocal technique and styles, advanced singing instruction, musicianship training, dance technique and styles, choreography, varied role study, and unique performance opportunities.

Conservatory training requires committed individuals who train from Fall 2022—Spring 2023.

After your successful admittance into the advanced program, selecting this package secures your registration in the following programs:

The Edge, The Climb, OR The Break Out Advanced Musical Theatre Programs

Participation in Advanced Cast Productions in the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.

Opportunity to participate in the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, Georgia in January 2023 OR in NYTE in Louisville in February 2023.

Access to Private Vocal Instruction with an advanced level voice teacher at InnOVATION Arts Academy.

Access to Community Outreach, Special Performances, and High School Internship Programs.

 

Students must additionally take a minimum of 1 hr of dance per week.  By grouping their training, advanced students save significantly on class registration fees.

  • Students in the Edge, the Climb and the Starting Line must take a minimum of one hour of dance per week at the InnOVATION studio.

Auditions and Other Information:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Students must be age 7 or older.

  • Students will not audition, but will be cast by Miss Mary Joy and Miss Stephanie according to their participation in both training programs and productions at InnOVATION Arts Academy.

  • Students must participate in The Edge, The Climb or The Starting Line training programs.  (Exceptions due to learning differences, or other individual challenges may occur at the discretion of the program director.)

  • Students must have participated in Into the Woods Jr to participate in JTF 2022.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

All students attending JTF must be prepared to be an active team player and to present an ensemble-based story with many moving pieces. The nature of a JTF performance downplays “lead” characters and emphasizes group storytelling.

Conflicts must be submitted at the start of rehearsals.  Our rehearsal period is short and intense.  Therefore, only students with minimal or no conflicts will be considered for JTF 2022.

Cost:

InnOVATION: $225 Rehearsal Fee

JTF Trip Fees (approximate fees based on 2021 rates):

$265/person participant fees (for each student or parent attending the festival) due in October or November, 2021.

Families are responsible for travel and lodging expenses to attend JTF. (InnOVATION Arts will reserve a block of hotel rooms.)

 

Mandatory Parent Meetings (dates TBD):

Meeting 1:  JTF Mandatory Parent Meeting.  All Festival Forms and Fees DUE.  No exceptions.  General Information about the festival will be covered.
