Technical Theatre Training Program

Tech students will have the opportunity to take classes with InnOVATION & Antagonist Productions teachers, learn from Technical Theatre professionals, work tech for InnOVATION shows, and travel with InnOVATION to NYTE to run all of the tech elements of our NYTE performance.

Students interested in this program will need to complete an interview with our instructors.

Fall 2025 Interviews will take place September 25th, 2025

Spring 2025 Interviews will take place April 18th, 2026

(students interested in being involved in both Fall and Spring productions only need to interview in the Fall)

Program is $700/year or $175/month for 4 months (2 Fall payments, 2 Spring payments)

Technical students will be involved with general rehearsals, technical, and dress rehearsals, and performances. Please email the office for a complete calendar. We request that all technical students have 80% availability for our rehearsal and performance schedule of Legally Blonde Jr. and Newsies.  Students wishing to participate fall only are welcome to register - with notification via email (innovationarts.lex@gmail.com), we are able to accommodate this request.

Optionally, tech students have the opportunity to travel to the National Youth Theatre Experience with InnOVATION Arts Academy. Students at NYTE will work backstage during the performance or run lights or sound. Please visit our NYTE Info Page for more information.
